The theme this year is "A Better World" and will feature a wonderful array of fun, green and heathy products from JamsWorld and Surfline including a portable photovoltaic system (the kind that is used on Mount Everest), inflatable surfboards and SUPs, and even a brand new inflatable Zodiac boat! If you know of someone who has green or healthy products that they would like to get some exposure for, then just let us know! The PMAG Women's Night Doubles, held in November each year, began as an 8 team invitational in 2000 and today is an open event that attracts the strongest and largest field of top women players in Hawaii. The event attracts the top teams from UH, HPU, BYUH and Chaminade as well as the top juniors and top open women.
The week-long event has been able to raise over $60,000 for the fight against breast cancer and since 2008 the charity of choice is the Susan G. Komen, For the Cure. Matches are held in the evening and the event attracts hundreds of spectators. Many of the players for our Hawaii universities are from around the globe. |
This year 2011 we had players from China, Brazil, Germany, England, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Japan.
