KRC COVID-19 PLAY GUIDELINES (v. Nov 15)
KRC's courts and pool are now open in accordance with Tier 3 of the Reopening plan of the City and County of Honolulu.
Groups of no more than 10 are allowed on KRC grounds.
Face coverings MUST be worn at all times on KRC grounds, except when actively playing on a court or in the pool. Face coverings are still required if you are seated, and also for dining unless you are ACTIVELY eating or drinking.
Dining is limited to groups of no more than 10 persons, but limited to 6 persons per tables on the lanai. You do not have to be of the same household. Face coverings are still required for dining unless you are ACTIVELY eating or drinking. These rules will be verified prior to the start of dine-in service. During cafe hours, use of the Lanai may be reserved for dining and drinks only.
Lessons
- Class sizes are often limited to avoid large groups on the court, on the side of the court, and passing each other as we transition from one class to the next. So, please arrive 5 minutes before your class time and wait until the coaches wave everyone in to begin class. If it is a junior class please wait with your player until class begins. If your player rides a bike, we ask that they stay next to their bike and away from the entrance gate until it’s time for class.
- We ask that all players and parents wear masks at all times when not playing tennis. Players can hang their masks on the small hooks near the benches as they go on the court.
- The benches and and seating areas around each court are reserved for the players taking lessons only. Parents or spectators may view class from the bleachers under the awning but please avoid sitting in groups larger than 5 and consider leaving room for other parents or spectators to sit.
These guidelines below are an attempt to balance the desire to enjoy fellowship, while also recognizing that control measures are still needed at this time to minimize the probability of COVID-19 transmission.
We ask everyone to be patient, helpful and supportive to each other as we learn the rules and adapt to this new environment. All face covering rules below are derived from the latest Honolulu proclamation that can be found at this website: https://www.honolulu.gov/mayor/proclamations-orders-and-rules.html
